Private transportation to or from Port of Miami and Miami runs in a black SUV or climate-controlled van with a bilingual driver, at a flat rate from $80 per vehicle. The driver meets your group curbside right at the PortMiami cruise terminal, loads your luggage, and drives door-to-door to your Miami address — a short, direct city transfer with no shared ride.
Fares are flat and charged per vehicle, not per person — choose the size that fits your group and luggage:
Choose your vehicle by group size, reserve, and a private driver meets you curbside at the terminal. A black SUV suits couples, families, and groups up to five; a private Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van fits six to nine, and a larger van seats ten to fourteen. Every seat is reserved for your party alone — no shared ride, no detours for strangers. As you step off the ship, the driver greets your group, helps load cruise suitcases and carry-ons, and drives door-to-door to your Miami address. The reverse works the same way when you head back to catch your sailing: pickup at your hotel or home, straight to the correct PortMiami terminal. Book at least 24 hours ahead so the vehicle and driver are locked in; shorter-notice requests are reviewed by hand, though availability is not promised. One message on WhatsApp confirms the details.
Send your pickup date, ship name, terminal, group size, and drop-off address by WhatsApp, email, or the website. We confirm the vehicle and flat rate, take a deposit to lock it, then text your driver’s name, vehicle make, and plate the day before. Booking 24-plus hours ahead secures your slot.
Yes. Disembarkation-day pickups are exactly what we do. Once you share your ship and terminal, the driver plans around your scheduled disembark time and meets your group curbside as you exit with your luggage. Late requests under 24 hours are still reviewed, though a confirmed slot is not guaranteed.
A private vehicle reserved for your group is the core of what you get. The fare is a flat rate locked at booking — no surge, no demand pricing, no meter climbing in port traffic. Your driver is bilingual, greets you by name if you ask, and handles your cruise luggage personally. There is no shared ride and no waiting for other passengers; the SUV or van moves on your schedule alone. Booking and questions go straight to a real person on WhatsApp, not a queue, so a change of plan is a quick message away. For cruise travelers juggling tight embarkation windows and a pile of suitcases, a pre-arranged private transfer removes the scramble for a car at the pier. Everything is confirmed before your trip: driver name, vehicle make, and plate arrive by text the day before.
The drive between the cruise port and Miami is a short, direct city transfer. Because your destination sits close to PortMiami, the ride stays brief when roads are clear, and your private driver takes the most direct route door-to-door. Timing shifts with the port’s rhythm: on disembarkation mornings, when several ships empty at once, nearby streets and the terminal exits move slowly, so allow a little buffer. Off-peak hours are lighter and quicker. Your driver watches your ship’s arrival and plans the pickup around real conditions, so you are not left waiting at the curb. If you have a flight or reservation to make afterward, tell us when you book and we build in margin. The point is a calm, direct hop from the pier to your door without hunting for a car in the crowd.
Miami spreads out from the cruise port into a string of distinct neighborhoods. Just inland, downtown and the Brickell area stack glass towers, waterfront dining, and a busy business core; nearby, the arts and museum district and Bayfront green space line Biscayne Bay. Across the water, the beaches and Art Deco streets draw sun-seekers, while neighborhoods like Wynwood and Little Havana carry the city’s murals, music, and Cuban-cafe culture. Families find aquariums, parks, and science and children’s museums; shoppers find open-air districts and design shops. Whether you are extending a cruise into a city break or heading home, your private driver drops you exactly where you are staying. Learn more from the City of Miami and Miami-Dade County visitor resources.
Cruise travelers often base themselves in the downtown and Brickell area for walkable dining and a quick run back to the terminal, or across the bay near South Beach for sand and nightlife. The Wynwood and Design District areas suit art and food lovers. Wherever you book, the driver takes you straight to your door.
Close to the port, the downtown waterfront offers Bayfront and Museum Park, an aquarium, arenas for basketball and concerts, and boardwalk paths along Biscayne Bay. It is an easy base for first-timers, with dining and shopping within the district. Your driver can drop your group at any of these on the way to your stay.
Your flat rate covers the ride, the driver, and the running costs. Tolls, SunPass, and fuel are all included — the number you book is the number you pay. A bilingual driver (English plus Spanish or Portuguese) handles the trip, helps load and unload your cruise luggage, and keeps an onboard WiFi hotspot running. The vehicle is private to your group from terminal to door. Not included: food and drinks, parking fees, driver gratuity (optional and always appreciated), and unscheduled stops. A short stop arranged in advance can sometimes be added, and a small fee may apply. Everything essential to the transfer itself is already in the price you see.
A few items sit outside the flat rate. Trips that begin outside daytime hours carry a night surcharge (see the surcharge section below). Extra waiting past the courtesy window is billed in 30-minute blocks. An additional child seat beyond the first free one has a small fee confirmed at booking, and parking, gratuity, and unscheduled stops are not included.
The first child seat is free for a child under five — just request it when you book. Each additional child seat carries a small extra fee, confirmed at the time of booking. Tell us your children’s ages and how many seats you need so the right ones are installed before pickup.
Small pets are welcome with advance notice on WhatsApp, traveling in a pet carrier. Let us know the pet and carrier size when you book so the driver assigns a vehicle with enough room for your group, your luggage, and the carrier together.
Pick the private vehicle that matches your group and luggage. The black SUV or SUV XL carries up to five cruise passengers with their bags. The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van handles six to nine travelers, and the larger Sprinter seats ten to fourteen — ideal for extended families or a group disembarking together. Every option is private to your party, with a bilingual driver and room for cruise suitcases. Choose by headcount; if you are unsure whether your bags will fit, message us and we confirm the space or size up to a larger van. There is no shared vehicle at any tier — you ride only with your own group from the terminal to your door.
Each passenger brings 1 checked bag plus 1 carry-on, and there is room for cruise luggage in every vehicle. Traveling with extra or oversized bags? Message us on WhatsApp before the trip and we confirm the space or move you up to a larger van. The driver helps load and unload at both ends.
Pay by Venmo, Zelle, or a secure payment link sent over WhatsApp or the website; card and link payments add a 4% bank fee. Full cash payment at pickup is not accepted. A round trip costs double the one-way rate. For a pickup starting at PortMiami or elsewhere on the Miami side, a 50% deposit confirms the booking and the remaining 50% can be paid to the driver on trip day, with cash accepted then. Reverse-direction trips picked up from farther areas such as Broward, Palm Beach, and beyond are paid in full ahead of time. Whatever the method, the fare is set when you book, so the total never shifts on the day of travel.
Your pickup is re-timed for free when the ship docks late. The driver monitors your vessel’s real-time arrival and disembark status, so a delayed berth, a slow gangway, or a long customs line does not cost you the ride or a re-booking fee. You simply walk out and your driver is waiting, with no frantic phone calls and no scramble to grab another car. This tracking is built into every cruise-terminal pickup at no charge, so a late ship is our problem to manage, not yours.
The driver waits curbside right outside your PortMiami cruise terminal, at the passenger pickup area, and greets your group as you come out. Ask on WhatsApp and the driver holds a name sign so you spot each other fast. Courtesy waiting covers 30 minutes at the terminal from your agreed time; hotel pickups include 15 minutes.
We serve every cruise terminal at PortMiami, whichever line you sail — the driver confirms your exact terminal letter from your ship and meets you at the right one. Tell us the vessel or terminal when booking and the pickup is matched to it. For departures, we drop you at the correct terminal for embarkation.
We pick up at PortMiami and Miami International Airport (MIA), and we drop off to MIA, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach, Orlando, and other cities on request. Flying home the same day you leave your cruise? The driver takes your group and luggage straight from the terminal to the airport curb, door to door.
The price is per vehicle, not per person — your whole group rides for the one flat rate shown above, whether it is two travelers or a family of five in the SUV. A round trip is simply double the one-way. The fare is locked when you book, so a busy port day, traffic, or demand never changes it.
Daytime pickups between 7 AM and 9 PM carry no surcharge. Trips that begin outside those hours add a small after-hours charge:

El barco atracó temprano y avisamos al chofer. Todo puntual y sin ninguna sorpresa con el precio. Nos mostró el nombre en un cartel al llegar. Gracias por el buen servicio.
Viajando com duas crianças e muita bagagem. Ele avisou por mensagem quando estava chegando ao cais. Obrigado peelo ótimo serviço.
Pickup was right outside the cruise terminal doors. Waited patiently while we cleared the terminal. Really satisfied with how it went. (we had 4 large bags)
Nos costó ubicar el punto de encuentro en el muelle, pero el precio se mantuvo igual.
